The Universal Mind Science Church in Long Beach, CA has relaunched and rebranded its long-running Psychic Fair as the Intuitive Arts Fair. Starting on February 24th, 2024, the Fair will take place every fourth Saturday from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. (Click Here For Driving Directions)
Participants are invited to sign up for readings, which cost $20 and last about 15 minutes. Guests are advised that only cash is accepted as payment. The hours of the fair are from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Doors open at 10 am. The UMS Church is located at 3212 E 8th St, Long Beach, California 90804.
Founded in the late 1960’s by Damien Simpson as a free thought non-denominational fellowship, the Church focused on metaphysical principles of self-awareness and the development of a direct connection with spiritual energy. It wasn’t long before the first Psychic Fair took place, and it ran every month for more than 40 years.
Recently, parishioner, Shari Ann Lamb, felt called to restart the Fair. “The Psychic Fair was always such a meaningful and positive thing for the community,” Lamb said. “People would come from all over Southern California to participate, and I missed it.” Lamb, a retired teacher, has been reading tarot for many years, and reads at the First Fridays Long Beach Art Walk in Bixby Knolls. “I felt that the community missed it, too.”
In the past, the Fair had up to 10 readers, but Lamb is starting small. “Right now, we’ll have four readers and an energy healer,” Lamb said. “I’ll be reading tarot and oracle cards, Sumako will be offering astrological insights, Peggy Rogers will provide numerology readings, and Marian Graff will use tarot and other tools. Anna Katrina is a certified Reiki Master and Practitioner. We are all committed to empowering and encouraging our participants to connect with their own intuitive abilities.”
